Who Does Jesus Actually Love?

Jesus loves the Palestinian. Jesus loves the Israeli.

Jesus loves the Ukrainian. Jesus loves the Russian.

Jesus loves the queer person. Jesus loves the straight person.

Jesus loves the white person. Jesus loves the BIPOC person.

Jesus loves the American. Jesus loves the refugees, the immigrants.

Jesus loves the man. Jesus loves the woman.

Jesus loves the nonbinary person. Jesus loves the trans person.

Jesus loves the drug addict. Jesus loves the alcoholic.

Jesus loves the incarcerated. Jesus loves the ones on death row.

Jesus loves the Muslim. Jesus loves the Christian.

Jesus loves Biden. Jesus loves Trump.

Jesus loves the rich. Jesus loves the poor.

Jesus loves the soldier. Jesus loves the pacifist.

Jesus loves the doubter. Jesus loves the faithful.

On the cross, Jesus held all of us — the loved, the unloved, the loving, the unloving. No one fell outside His arms.

If Jesus loves without condition, how can I withhold love?

If Jesus embraces both those I cheer and those I fear, how can I live differently?
