5 Things I Was Loving in January

We'd only been in January 2022 for two weeks before I started whining to my Dad, "January feels like it's lasted for two years!!!" and I still stand by that statement. Why has this month felt like an entire decade?! Is it just me?! I've never been crazy about the first three months of the year because my seasonal blues typically set in with the cold. I'm not a winter gal. We got snow a couple weeks ago and while everyone was grinning and having a grand ole' time, I was hurrying my grumpy tail inside to escape frostbite.
January: I'm glad to see you go.

I don't really know what the rest of 2022 has for me, but I do know that at least this month I've discovered some lovely products/items to share with you.
1) Almond Budget Planner (Planner, duh) - Something Husband and I are working on this year is really getting our finances in order, and learning how to better manage and handle our moola. I've shared my love of Dave Ramsey in the past, but I think this budget planner is better than 90% of Ramsey Solutions' resources.
This is a year long planner that is perfect for household budgeting, and it's great for beginners and thrift pros alike. Each month of budgeting features customizable budgeting categories and income and savings tracking. There's a bill tracker and credit card/debts tracker. There's also a monthly calendar to help track due dates, and lots of space for notes at the end of the month so you can easily track your progress. It also includes an event budgeting section where you can plan for things like parties, vacations, Christmas, etc. The Almond Planner comes with a pen loop, bookmarks, stickers, and a pocket in the back that we've been using to hold bills!
Anyone can benefit from one of these.

2) Folklore/Evermore by Taylor Swift (Music) - I know I've talked about this before, but these albums are the perfect winter mood/storytelling/folksy songs for this season. I've had them on repeat anytime I drive or am cleaning the apartment. I think they're T-Swift's best work yet, and totally worth the hype.
3) Urban Stems (Flower Delivery Service) - I've been following Urban Stems for a while now and got my first bouquet from them this month and YOU GUYS it's so gorgeous. I know that flowers don't last, but there's something about having that fresh, beautiful pop of color that brightens a space and makes it feel more cozy. While US does utilize a subscription service, you don't have to subscribe to order some beautiful flowers from them. With Valentines Day coming up, it's worth looking into, right!? If you're interested in trying them out, feel free to use this link here for $15 off your first order of $50!

4) Mercari (App) - I've talked about my love of Poshmark before, but I think I like Mercari even better. If you've got anything in your home that you aren't using/don't want and would like to make a quick buck, Mercari is the app for you. Check out their "How it works" page here and know that in the last four weeks, I've been able to make $112! Just from getting rid of things I don't even use!

5) Modest Mogul (Shop) - Modest Mogul is a new brand that seeks to motivate, inspire, and empower women. They have clothing, jewelry, home goods, things for wee babes, and they're also having a Valentines Day Sale of 20% off orders of $69, Just use the code "selflove22" at checkout. I got the shirt pictured below and I wear it constantly because it's literally so soft and comfy! (I also got their "Rise & Grind" candle, and oh MAN was it a delight!)

That's all, folks! Let me know if you decide to take any of my recs :)
