5 Things I Loved in the Month of February.

Well, here we go again. I don't have any pithy opening remarks for this one, so let's just dive right in to last month's favorites!

1. Oriana Double Zip Work Satchel - Bag

I got this bag through my Stitch-Fix, and wow: She's gorgeous. This is such a grown-woman bag. It has double zippered pockets that can easily hold my pens, journal, Kindle, etc. It's got a cavernous middle that can easily hold all of my other things, and I truly think this is what Mary Poppins would use if she was out here in 2021. My only complaint is that the bag claims to be black -- but she's very clearly navy. As in... navy blue. This doesn't bother me too much though because my wardrobe is slowly turning into a hodgepodge of primary colors -- navies, reds, and yellows. (I'm basically Paddington Bear, at this point.)

2. 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess by Jen Hatmaker - Book

If you follow me on Instagram, you've seen the excessive amount of quotes from this book I shared to my stories! MAN this is inspiring and convicting and definitely for fans of Shane Claiborne. If you're feeling overwhelmed with STUFF and concerned about how much you're consuming and how many people are lacking the blessings that you have, I really encourage you giving this book a read. It is so excellent, I actually am planning on starting my own 7 challenge this month!

3. Brooklyn 99 - TV Show

Look, I don't know what to tell you, man. If you haven't watched this yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. It streams on Hulu, and is one of my most-favorite shows ever. It's witty, fast-paced, and delightful. Captain Holt is my actual patronus, while Gina Linetti is my spirit animal. You will not change my mind.

4. Fancy by Jessica Simpson -- Perfume

I've been embarrassed to share how much I love this fragrance, but no longer will I live in shame.

Look, I'm a smell-good junkie. Body-wash, soap, lotion, perfumes, room sprays, candles -- if it smells good, I'm there. I have a nice little perfume collection with name brands ranging from Chanel to Guerlain, and yet this $20 gem is in my top three favorites of all time, ever. I don't care that this came out in 2008 or that the bottle looks like something you'd find in Barbie's Dreamhouse bathroom. It smells like apricot, caramel, almond, vanilla, deliciousness. It's as comforting as my favorite hoodie, and I love it so very much.

5. Tulips - Flowers

I didn't realize how much I love tulips until I started buying bouquets of them from Kroger (I said what I said). Tulips ENCHANT me. I adore them. They are like sunshine embodied in a delicate petal. Their stalks rustling together sound like bamboo windchimes. They're whimsical and colorful, and I hope to have them around the house as often as I can. Forget your stinkin' roses. Tulips are the way to go if you're trying to cultivate a cheerier environment!

And that's a wrap on this roundup! Let me know what you were loving in February. <3
