5 Things I Loved in the Month of December

I'll be the first to admit that I dropped the ball. Towards the end of last year, I just lost momentum in my posting schedule because, well, LIFE. Things got so busy, so quickly, as they do around the Holidays. But I wanted to jump back into my recommendations because I found some things that I really, really loved last month, and wanted to put you guys on.

  1. Expedition Roasters Devilish Dame Blend (Coffee) - If you've spent even a sliver of time around my corner of the internet, then you already know how obsessed I am with two things: Disney and coffee. And with Expedition Roasters, they give you the best of both! My sister delighted me by gifting me their sampler pack (which is an awesome deal, if you're interested) and this roast was, by far, the best. Notes are: black and white cookie. That's it. That's the entire flavor profile. Just trust me, ok?

2. Mon Guerlain Sensuelle EDP (Beauty) - If I haven't already told you, I collect perfume! I've been obsessed with smelling good since I was a wee babe, and since 2020, I've been on a journey of trying a bunch of different scents to figure out what I really like. My husband got me this (discontinued, sad face) perfume for Christmas and HOLY MOLY it's so, so beautiful. It's a flanker of their super popular Mon Guerlain, but this one is even more vanilla-y and creamy. Even if you're not into beauty/fragrance, if you come across this, I'd encourage you to snatch it right up because it's lovely.

3. Daughters of Grace Bible Study by Daily Grace Co. (Bible Study) - I've mentioned my undying love for Daily Grace Co. before, but this study in particular has been so enriching for me. It's a six week study that covers 28 women from the Bible, and it's set up in such a way that you can do it, easily, in 15 minutes or less so there's no excuse not to have your daily time in the Word! (BTW, they're having their annual $5/$10 sale, and this study is included! Huzzah!)

4. Promises by Maverick City Music (Song) - This has been on repeat nonstop for me. Doing household chores? I'm blasting this. Working on a sermon in my office? This is what's playing in the background. It's just so good, y'all. So, so good. (My favorite line: Though the storms may come and the winds may blow I’ll remain steadfast/ And let my heart learn when you speak a word it will come to pass...)

5. Encanto (Movie) - Yes, I'm on the Encanto train and you should climb aboard if you're not, too. This is a beautifully done movie about the extraordinary Madrigal family and what happens when their "blessing" starts to be in danger. The heroine, Mirabel, is the only one without magical abilities and yet... well, you'll have to watch. Plus, the music was done my Lin Manuel Miranda so you know every song is a major earworm. (Also, this isn't relevant, but my favorite thing is that if you Google "Encanto" one of the top questions Google's been asked is, "Is Disney's Encanto real?" INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW, GOOGLE.)

These are my faves for December! What were you into? Favorite Christmas gifts? Let me know! <3
