2022 Bucket List.

I know everyone is sick of the idea of New Years resolutions. Two weeks ago, I even saw an article in the New York Times suggesting we cancel New Years altogether. And yes, I get it: it really is just another day, there is no magical clean-slate when the clock strikes midnight. But I love the symbolism and the potential that comes with a mental-reset. 1/1/2022 is a chance to get re-motivated, continue to grow, and re-evaluate where you are vs where you want to be. Cheesy? Maybe. But the point is, you'll pry my imagined-new-beginnings from my cold, gullible fingers.

Instead of making a list of resolutions, I decided to come up with a 2022 Bucket List, so that I can have tangible goals. I'm a pretty type B kind of gal, but I do love me some lists. There's something so gratifying about checking off a task, seeing it through to completion, knowing that I got the job done.
Bucket Lists appeal to me, too, because they encourage a sense of adventure and creativity. Bucket Lists are supposed to be fun, a way to get your hopes and dreams down on paper so that you're inspired to actually follow through with them. If you're unfamiliar, a Bucket List is a list of the experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime. (Or things you want to do before you kick the bucket.)
Instead of starting Weight Watchers again or signing up for a gym membership you won't use after this month, why not try creating a Bucket List? What are ten things you want to do in 2022?
Here's mine:
Establish a morning routine that includes writing + yoga every day
Travel to Lenox, MA
Move out of our apartment
Go to a new zoo
Go pescatarian for a month
No social-media on Sunday FOR THE WHOLE YEAR
Finish my book
Learn to quilt
Take my youth group to Disney World
Go to NYC for Thanksgiving
Be creative! Have fun! The last two years have left us feeling drained, scared, irritable, and unmotivated. It's time that we all fall in love with our lives, again.
